Baseball Recap: Lake Forest Starts Season with Victory Against Grayslake North

Lake Forest had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Grayslake North Knights get on the board and left with a 16-0 win.

Nate Brezak looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Stephen Cole, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Bink Hartline, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Lake Forest will venture away from home to square off against Saint Viator at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grayslake North, they will square off against Jones at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
