Baseball Game Preview: Coweta Tigers vs. Memorial Chargers

For the second straight game, Coweta will face off against Memorial. Coweta will be playing in front of their home fans against Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coweta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Coweta will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Memorial on Monday. Coweta blew past Memorial 17-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

Coweta let Josh McDermott and Logan McKinney run wild. McDermott scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while McKinney scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave McDermott a new career-high in RBI (three). Trace Hall was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Coweta is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. Memorial dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
