League recap: Northwood Academy stuns Hilton Head Prep in upset

SCISA AA Region II recap Sept. 26, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Northwood Academy, who took down 135th ranked Hilton Head Prep, 41-13. Will Lloyd threw for 146 yards, ran for 55 yards and caught one passes for 20 yards in the win.

Palmetto Christian Academy's jT Waters rumbled for the longest rushing play in SCISA AA Region II this season in his game against Colleton Prep Academy last week. Waters scampered for 64 yards on the play and finished with 196 on the day as his team topped the War Hawks.

The Dolphins' dynamic duo of Charlie Wilmot and Logan Clark proved tough for the Chargers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilmot threw for 244 yards and one touchdown and Clark had 163 yards receiving. Zenon Parker helped Hilton Head Prep's passing attack out by catching four balls for 40 yards.

Bayne Hirshman made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jim Daniel's team topped Colleton Prep Academy. The senior recorded one fumble.

On the ground, Palmetto Christian Academy's Waters has rushed for 871 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Clark. The Hilton Head Prep star has 15 catches for 393 yards.

Heyward Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Thomas Sumter Academy, 54-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Rebels.
