Football Recap: Palm Bay Takes a Loss

Palm Bay lost against Satellite back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 29-3 to the Scorpions. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Byron Thompson threw for 71 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Caden Newton was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Dorian Beauchamp rushed for 43 yards.

Palm Bay is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Satellite, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Palm Bay will welcome Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Satellite, they are taking a road trip to square off against Somerset Academy Key at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Scorpions will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
