Basketball Recap: Twin Lakes Indians vs. Benton Central Bison
The Twin Lakes Indians and the Benton Central Bison squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Twin Lakes Indians had to settle for second. They suffered a tough 59-35 defeat at the hands of the Bison. Twin Lakes' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Twin Lakes still got an impressive performance from Addie Bowsman, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Bowsman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine West, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Twin Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Benton Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.
Twin Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Benton Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully West Lafayette focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
