Preview: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Calvert Senecas
Old Fort is 9-1 against Calvert since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Old Fort Stockaders will head out on the road to square off against the Calvert Senecas at 7:00 p.m. Calvert took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Old Fort, who comes in off a win.
Old Fort came into Saturday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 46-42 W over New Riegel on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Calvert unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Danbury by a score of 41-39. While losing is never fun, Calvert can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Danbury is ranked 158th).
Old Fort's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Calvert, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.
Old Fort came up short against Calvert in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-33. Can Old Fort avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
