Basketball Recap: Zavalla Comes Up Short

Zavalla played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Latexo Tigers 72-42. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 30 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maverick Renfro, who posted six points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Harvey, who earned 12 points.

Zavalla now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Latexo, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Zavalla and Latexo will both be playing Warren the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 9:20 a.m. on Friday.
