Football Game Preview: Wilson Area Warriors vs. Northern Lehigh Bulldogs

Wilson Area hasn't had much luck against Northern Lehigh recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Warriors will host the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Wilson Area has given up an average of 33.3 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wilson Area's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Palmerton on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Blue Bombers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Northern Lehigh lost to Notre Dame-Green Pond at home by a 40-21 margin on Friday. Despite 116 more yards than the Crusaders, the Bulldogs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Wilson Area will have to keep a close watch on Chris Frame and Garrett Smoyer, a pair of players who had a big impact on Northern Lehigh's prior game. Frame gained 143 total yards, while Smoyer rushed for 137 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Northern Lehigh's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wilson Area, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
