Basketball Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Greenville Red Raiders

The Easley Green Wave lost against the Greenville Red Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Easley's tough 71-46 defeat to the Red Raiders might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easley in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Easley still got an impressive performance from Noah Calhoun, who scored eight points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Drey Jackson, who scored four points along with seven assists.

Easley has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Greenville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Easley will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for Greenville, they will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
