Soccer Recap: Sahuarita Comes Up Short

Sahuarita lost against Mica Mountain back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sahuarita Mustangs lost 4-0 to the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 12th).

Sahuarita's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Mica Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Sahuarita will venture away from home to square off against Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walden Grove will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sahuarita surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mica Mountain, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Buena on the 16th.
