For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Homer and Houston meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Homer Mariners took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Hawks. The Mariners' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Houston, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-16.

Homer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Houston, they will face off against Mt. Edgecumbe at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Edgecumbe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 contests -- so hopefully Houston likes a good challenge.
