Softball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cisne last Wednesday, Fairfield came back down to earth. The Mules fell just short of the Edwards County Lions by a score of 11-9 on Thursday. The Mules have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Serenity Dagg was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Jocelynn Lee was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Edwards County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Hamilton County on the 15th. As for Edwards County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Richland County on the 11th.
