Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sycamore walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the White House-Heritage Patriots 30-27. The victory was familiar territory for the War Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.
Hicks Hunter produced another solid performance rushing for 126 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 38 receiving yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. Cody Scalf was another key player, throwing for 120 yards and three TDs.

Looking ahead, Sycamore will head out on the road to square off against Covington at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the War Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. White House-Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
