Basketball Recap: Rockcastle County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Red Bird last Monday, Rockcastle County came back down to earth. The Rockcastle County Rockets took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wayne County Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Cardinals are ranked 102nd).

Rockcastle County's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Wayne County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Rockcastle County has already played their next matchup (against Casey County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wayne County will take on McCreary Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McCreary Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Wayne County likes a good challenge.
