Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Knights vs. Southeast Valley Jaguars

The Unity Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Southeast Valley Jaguars on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Unity Christian comes in on five and Southeast Valley on 21.

On Tuesday, Unity Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away West Lyon. They walked away with a 78-71 victory over the Wildcats. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Wildcats are ranked 101st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeast Valley hadn't beaten Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS on the road since January 8, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Jaguars came out on top against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS by a score of 50-38. Those 50 points were actually the fewest the Jaguars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Unity Christian's record now sits at 22-2. As for Southeast Valley, their record is now 21-1.
