Miami Country Day took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Avant Garde Academy, who comes in off a win.

Avant Garde Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with Varsity Opponent: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Miami Country Day came up short against Lourdes Academy on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-12.

Avant Garde Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Miami Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Avant Garde Academy couldn't quite get it done against Miami Country Day in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
