Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Downey Christian). They walked away with a 98-89 victory over the Skyline Prep Bengals on Saturday.

Downey Christian had a senior duo take command as Maylon Marte went 15-for-19 to rack up 38 points and Mickael Heritana went 8-for-11 en route to 23 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Marte has scored at least a third of Downey Christian's points. Adrian Baah was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points.

Downey Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-11 record this season. Skyline Prep is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Downey Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-68 win against Varsity Opponent on the 22nd. Skyline Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
