Soccer Game Preview: Andrada Polytechnic vs. Thatcher

The Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks will take on the Thatcher Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrada Polytechnic's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Andrada Polytechnic fell victim to San Miguel and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Vipers an easy 6-0 victory.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Thatcher challenged Gila Ridge on Saturday. Thatcher narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Gila Ridge 2-1.

Kody Bingham and Callum Winkler scored both of Thatcher's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Thatcher has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. As for Andrada Polytechnic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Andrada Polytechnic might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Thatcher in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Andrada Polytechnic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
