The Burlingame Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the James Logan Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Burlingame is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Burlingame is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Fightin' Irish by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Burlingame got a good showing from Dionisios Vorrises, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Vorrises has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Kai Watanabe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Those hits were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, James Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Amador Valley.

Ivan Perez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Evan Yau was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burlingame fell to 4-1. As for James Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
