It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Southern Aroostook ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Washburn Beavers. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Beavers, too.

Dillan Bishop was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Southern Aroostook now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Washburn, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southern Aroostook will square off against rival Fort Fairfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Washburn is set to take on their familiar foe Katahdin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
