Basketball Recap: Memphis Takes a Loss

Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Quanah Indians, falling 85-42. The Cyclones were down 68-37 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Memphis' loss came despite strong showings from Dresden Johnson and Armando Saenz. Johnson went 6 of 11 en route to 12 points and six boards, while Saenz posted 11 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points.

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Quanah, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.

Memphis will head out on the road to square off against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quanah, they will be playing at home against Clarendon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
