Softball Game Preview: St. Henry Redskins vs. Bath Wildcats

The St. Henry Redskins will challenge the Bath Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bath took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Henry, who comes in off a win.

St. Henry will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Minster, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Redskins walked away with a 7-4 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Renee Wendel looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Wendel, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Olivia Gast was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Bath fell victim to Lincolnview and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 14-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Henry's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bath, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
