Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Kasson-Mantorville

Kasson-Mantorville hadn't done well against Winona recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Komets never let the Winhawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Kasson-Mantorville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by three goals or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Kasson-Mantorville and bumps their season record up to 3-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Winona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kasson-Mantorville will face off against Red Wing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kasson-Mantorville will be up against Red Wing's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Winona, they will head out on the road to take on Faribault at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
