Oneonta fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Schalmont on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sabres by a score of 2-1. Oneonta's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Oneonta's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Schalmont, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Oneonta will head out on the road to challenge Tamarac at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Schalmont, they will venture away from home to take on Glens Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Glens Falls' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
