Basketball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Slidell

Mandeville typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Slidell proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Mandeville Skippers by a score of 58-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Several Skippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alanna Benoit, who posted 18 points and six rebounds. Benoit is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Giulia Balbo was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 13 points.

Slidell's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Mandeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-9.

Coming up, Slidell will challenge Salmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mandeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
