Despite the defeat, Andover Central got a solid performance out of Hayden Snodgrass, who scored 28 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Snodgrass' third in a row with at least ten points. Avery Mason was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Andover waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over McPherson.
Andover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katie Evans, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Walker, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Andover Central's win bumped their season record to 1-2 while Derby's defeat dropped theirs to 1-1.
