McArthur waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed past the Fort Lauderdale Flying L to the tune of 39-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Flying L's are ranked 366th).

Leading McArthur to victory were Khamarian Young and Damarion Bostick. Young picked up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Bostick rushed for 26 yards and one score. Those 108 receiving yards gave Young a new career-high.

McArthur's defense stepped up as well, laying out Marquise Russ four times. Fort Lauderdale's QB won't forget Dylon Casimir anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Casimir has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times he's played.

McArthur's record now sits at 6-2. As for Fort Lauderdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, McArthur will square off against South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Paladins have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will face off against Coral Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flying L's will be up against the Colts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
