Softball Recap: Shadyside Comes Up Short

Shadyside and Ridgewood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Shadyside had to settle for second. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Shadyside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Parker, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Shadyside dropped their record down to 13-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Ridgewood, they moved to 13-9-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Shadyside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgewood, they will face off against Crooksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
