Softball Recap: Sunday's Victory Is St. Paul Catholic's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

St. Paul Catholic hadn't done well against Watertown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Sunday. Lauren Kozlak made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Stella Boucino, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Laila McCulloch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs.
