Softball Recap: Tyngsborough Tigers vs. Clinton Gaels
Tyngsborough won the last time they faced Clinton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Gaels. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Kiley Hogan made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Hogan was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Katie O'Keefe was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Kristin Deschenes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Tyngsborough always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .614. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton only posted an OBP of .136.
