Basketball Recap: Oliver Springs Takes a Loss

Oliver Springs lost against Campbell County back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 72-61 to the Cougars.

Despite the loss, Oliver Springs still got an impressive performance from Ethan Jones, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Seeber, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Campbell County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Hatmaker led the charge by putting up 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hunter Dotson, who had 11 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Oliver Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oliver Springs will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Knoxville Central at 8:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Campbell County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lenoir City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
