The Port Huron Red Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Clawson Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Huron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Port Huron was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against New Haven on Monday. The Red Hawks were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Rockets. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Port Huron got a great performance from Honezty Broadus as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Broadus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lauren Thomas was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Keira Myers was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Port Huron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Clawson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Plymouth Christian Academy by a score of 6-5.

The victory got Port Huron back to even at 6-6. As for Clawson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

Port Huron suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Clawson when the teams last played last Monday. Can the Red Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
