Recap: Millennium Lions vs. Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots
This season hasn't been kind to the Millennium Lions, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They took a serious blow against Surry HomeSchool on Thursday, falling 71-34. Millennium has struggled against Surry HomeSchool recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Tyler Spence was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 22 rebounds for Surry HomeSchool. The match was Spence's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Zavior Dulaney was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Millennium bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Surry HomeSchool, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
Millennium won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Piedmont Classical at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Surry HomeSchool, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Alamance Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Alamance Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Surry HomeSchool in North Carolina (Alamance Christian is ranked 171st, while Surry HomeSchool is ranked 561st).
