Baseball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Clarksburg Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 19-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Humboldt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron Justicee, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Clarksburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rockets beat Humboldt by a score of 16-0 later that day.
