Basketball Game Preview: Norton Bluejays vs. Colby Eagles

Norton has won three straight games at home, while Colby has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Norton Bluejays challenge the Colby Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Norton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Norton earned a 35-28 victory over Ellis. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Railroaders are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Rylen Murray, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Dominic Vahling was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Colby was able to grind out a solid win over Ulysses on Friday, taking the game 63-51.

Norton has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Colby, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
