Soccer Recap: San Pedro Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gardena last Wednesday, San Pedro came back down to earth. The San Pedro Pirates fell just short of the Carson Colts by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

Their goal came courtesy of Andre Carvallo, who's now up to seven this season.

San Pedro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Carson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Pedro will challenge Narbonne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Narbonne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Carson, they will take on Gardena at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carson is facing Gardena at the right time seeing as Gardena is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
