It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Arcata had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the De Anza Dons. Considering the Tigers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Arcata has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for De Anza, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-1.

Arcata has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against St. Bernard's on the 27th. De Anza does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
