Soccer Game Preview: Orestimba vs. Ripon

The Orestimba Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Ripon Indians at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Orestimba's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Orestimba is headed into the match having not lost since the third and will look to keep things rolling. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Sonora 2-1. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one goal.

Noel Madrigal and Omar Covarrubias scored both of Orestimba's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Ripon came up short against Riverbank on Friday and fell 4-2.

Orestimba has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five contests. As for Ripon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-3.

Orestimba came up short against Ripon in their previous matchup on January 3rd, falling 3-1. Can Orestimba avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
