Basketball Recap: East Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

East Chapel Hill lost against Hillside back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Chapel Hill Wildcats fell 74-66 to the Hillside Hornets. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Hillside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Morgan, who posted 17 points. The game was Morgan's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Erick Bonner was another key player, putting up 19 points.

East Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hillside, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

East Chapel Hill has already played their next matchup, a 57-33 defeat against Chapel Hill on the 24th. As for Hillside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-52 loss against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on the 20th.
