Softball Recap: Sheffield Takes a Loss

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-1 to the Mars Hill Bible Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Sheffield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camora Craig, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Craig's first of the season.

Sheffield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Mars Hill Bible, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Sheffield will face off against Cherokee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mars Hill Bible, they will head out on the road to take on Decatur at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
