Basketball Recap: Peaster Comes Up Short

In Friday's Canine Competition, Peaster didn't have enough. They fell 32-20 to the Millsap Bulldogs on Friday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 30-17.

Millsap's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cori Ground led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ground is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Wooldridge, who posted no points and nine steals.

Peaster has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record this season. As for Millsap, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-22.

Peaster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-19 loss against Tolar on the 28th. Millsap has also already played their next game, a 60-24 defeat against Comanche on the 28th.
