Volleyball Recap: Wetumpka Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wetumpka extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the Montgomery Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Montgomery Academy, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Montgomery Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaci Armistead, who had 17 digs and one assist. Armistead is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Campbell, who had four aces and three digs.

Looking ahead, Wetumpka will venture away from home to challenge Prattville Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montgomery Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Brewbaker Tech on the 30th.
