Basketball Recap: Lauren Bassett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rocky Mountain over Hot Springs County

Rocky Mountain was the 50-40 winner over Hot Springs County when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hot Springs County Bobcats.

Rocky Mountain's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Bassett, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Bassett has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brittly Boettcher, who scored ten points.

Rocky Mountain's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-6. As for Hot Springs County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

As of now, neither Rocky Mountain nor Hot Springs County have any future games scheduled.
