Volleyball Recap: Leyden Takes a Loss

Leyden lost against York back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Dukes.

While Leyden ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.

Leyden now has a losing record of 12-13. As for York, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Leyden will challenge Saint Viator at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for York, they will take on New Trier in a tournament on Friday.
