Volleyball Recap: Marian Victorious

Marian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Richmond Blue Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2021.

Among those leading the charge was Joelle Mio, who had eight digs and two aces.

Mio wasn't the only good server: Marian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Richmond fell to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Marian and Richmond will both be playing Oxford the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Wildcats at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
