Volleyball Recap: Lubbock Takes a Loss

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caprock Longhorns. The Westerners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Lubbock had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-26. As for Caprock, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 8-14.

Coincidentally, Lubbock and Caprock will both be playing Tascosa the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will head out to face the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Westerners will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
