Recap: Plainfield Quakers vs. Harrison Raiders
The Plainfield Quakers were the 15-14 winner over the Harrison Raiders when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. Plainfield suffered a rough 39-13 defeat at the hands of Harrison on Friday. Plainfield just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Although Plainfield took the loss, they still got scores from Isaiah Miller and Caden Vanderbush.
Harrison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cailix Dillon out in front who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Knoy, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Plainfield's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-4. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Harrison, Whiteland, and Decatur Central. As for Harrison, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Plainfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harrison will head out on the road to face off against Decatur Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Decatur Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
