Softball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville challenged Central Montcalm in a bug-themed battle on Friday. The Yellow Jackets took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Brooke Lindquist made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Hyler, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central Montcalm, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Greenville will face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Montcalm, they will welcome Chippewa Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
