Volleyball Recap: Rocori Comes Up Short

Rocori lost against Willmar back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Rocori saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mylie Hesse had nine digs and two aces.

Jordan Blahosky was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and seven assists.

Rocori has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Willmar, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Rocori wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Kimball on the 11th. As for Willmar, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Apollo on the 14th.
