Baseball Recap: Needles Comes Up Short

Needles managed to slip by Lake Mead Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Eagles on Friday, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since February 27th.

Needles' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 12-7-1. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Needles will square off against Pahrump Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, they will take on Indian Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
